Over A Month...

I am finally back after month long hiatus. I really didn't mean to leave the blog for that long. I am just lazy when it comes to uploading pics. Here are just a few from the past month.
Trevor got a big boy bike and he LOVES riding it. Once the big boy bike came out, there was a strict helmet rule. SO I took him to the store and let him pick a helmet.

We had a good Thanksgiving at a friends house.I didn't take pics because all the kids were running all over the place all night. This is what 6 hours of playing did to Trevor.

I let Trevor take the reigns when it came to decorating the Christmas tree this year. He put on every ornament as high as he could reach, then told me where to put each of the higher ones. I think it turned out perfect and he was so proud of himself.

December 4th, today, we got our first snowfall that stuck and it is still snowing as I write this.

Trevor had to wake up to use the bathroom and I had every intention of having him go back to sleep. When he noticed the snow, there was no hope to get that kid back in bed. He was sooo excited! He was singing about snow and wanted to go throw snowballs. He learned about snowballs from Spongebob, so that makes it even more exciting to him!
I know I say it all the time, but I will really try to keep this updated more often. Bye for now!

Happy Halloween!

Trevor helped Steve pull "the brains" out of his pumpkin.

The pumpkin I carved for Trevor.

Steve's finished product.
Trevor and Serenity getting ready to go into the mall for trick or treating (the day before Halloween).

Steve had to work until 8:30pm on Halloween night so Trevor and I went out with some friends, who's dad was also out of town. So we made it a mommy and me night. The kids had a good time.
Halloween evening waiting for his friends to get here.

Walking down to "Uncle Damon and Aunt Dana's" house. This is my favorite picture from the night.
Ethan, Trevor and Serenity....Trouble times 3! :)
"Hey mom...that guy just gave me candy!"

Trevor's 3rd Birthday!

SO I am finally back with a blog update!
Trevor is 3! YAY! Well, not so sure that is a good thing. As he has gotten closer to 3, he has gotten a bigger attitude. Just ask Grammy! We had a good visit with her, although Trevor drove her crazy :)
Here are some pics from Trevor's birthday.

Posing with his guitar cake...

Maybe the blue frosting wasn't such a good idea after all...

One of his many presents...

Trevor with his friends Ethan, Kirke, and Serenity playing cars on his new car rug.

This is his "I'm 3 and I'm cool" look...

He was so happy to get his soccer ball and net. He braved the unusually chilly weather we had to go outside and try them out.

He was having tons of fun kicking the ball away from daddy.

After nap time and some more football, it was time to break out the big present...the Wii! He is having tons of fun playing it.

Trevor and Grammy. By this point Grammy was pretty worn out and ready to get back to everyday life at home.

So Trevor decided to tuck Grammy in bed and say goodbye for now...
Grammy's visit went by pretty quick and I didn't get as many pics as I would have liked. I forgot my camera when we went to Chuck E. Cheese's and kept forgetting to buy batteries. We had a good time though and wish she could have stayed longer.
Uncle Al will be here on Friday to visit before he has to take off for Uganda. We also plan on going to Fiddlesticks Farms. It is a huge corn maze, pumpkin patch, everything "fall" that you can think of.
And I will try to keep up on the blog a little better from now on.

A GREAT Weekend!

I am finally feeling better and I am so glad! We had a great weekend and looking back I would not have wanted to miss a second of it.
First, here is the picture I promised of Trevor wearing his "Best Friends" bracelet that I made him with what I could find laying around the house.

Sometimes he thinks he is some kind of super hero or something and dresses like this and thinks it is super cool. I was thinking more along the lines of super freak :) Note the upside down glasses squishing his nose...

On Saturday we took Trevor to a new playground in town at the new sports complex. It was completely empty so we had the whole place to ourselves. We quickly found out why-it was blazing hot. We only stayed for about 45 minutes. Trevor's favorite thing by far was climbing this rock wall. No matter what, he kept going back to it.
A little break for a "cheese" shot! (Sorry about the quality of the pic...I just realized I accidentally saved it on film grain mode.)
Today we went to church and Trevor was soooo excited to "go to school" that as soon as I got him up he was ready to get dressed and help pack his backpack, he was mad when I told him we weren't leaving for a few hours. After church we decided to keep our activities inside due to the heat and we took Trevor bowling for the first time. He had a blast! Here are Trevor and Steve waiting to see how many pins Trevor is going to knock down.

Here he is ready to go! You will have to excuse the pink ball-it is the one the guy gave me and I didn't want to be picky and ask for a different color. Trevor didn't seem to mind; he was just happy to be bowling! And aren't bowling shoes on a person that small just adorable?!
Doesn't he look like he had a good time?! He was upset to be done but I told him we can go again very soon and that seemed to make it better. I think I will take him again and let him bowl all by himself. After bowling it was time to head over to Steve's office and gym. Right inside the doors there is this big, old firehouse switchboard. It never fails that if we go by, Trevor has to pick up every phone and say "Hello, hello?! 911! Emergency!" and today he added "Moderation"....yeah, not sure what that was supposed to mean! :)
Then we rounded the corner and came upon this beast....since Maria posted her spider pics, I figured why not post mine?! I took the picture to show Steve because he walked there right before us and didn't say anything, so I wanted him to see what he walked by.We had quite a weekend! And we plan on doing some more fun stuff next weekend before my surgery. I am scheduled for Tuesday, September 1. I am praying to stay healthy until then so I can just get it over with. We have to drive up on Wednesday for the pre-op and then I should be good to go for Tuesday. Though it is a very common procedure, please keep us in your prayers, especially that I can just be able to get it done and over with. And it is going to be a tough few days for Trevor with me probably being in pain and not wanting to talk much. Thankfully, Steve is able to take leave and be home that week to help with Trevor.
So this got super long, but I hope you enjoy the pictures! Until next time.....

Over a Month...

I know it's already been over a month since I put anything on here. I have been having some issues that you all probably already know about. I am finally starting to feel better, thank God. I was feeling pretty lousy for a while and spent a week on the couch, mostly feeling like a crappy mom since I couldn't do anything. But things are looking up and I am feeling a little better everyday.
Trevor has been a pretty good little trooper through it all though and I am thankful that he behaved as well as he did for that long without much attention. He is quite the character and he challenges me everyday, usually several times a day :) But overall he is a pretty good kid. Everyday he says something so off the wall that he has me cracking up. I always wish I could rewind and record. His newest and sweetest thing for the last 3 days is saying that I am his best friend....so sweet. We watched Dora this morning and it was Friendship Day and Dora gave him a bracelet so he looked at me and said, "Mommy, you my best friend! Make me a bracelet!" So I did. I have a pic of him wearing it and I will get it on here tomorrow at some point. Right now I need to get to bed. Just wanted to do a quick update in case anyone is still checking this thing!

Colorado Trip-More to Come Later...

Finally I am updating with some pics from our trip to Colorado Springs for the Firefighter Combat Challenge.
Here is Trevor and Steve at Falcon Stadium at the Air Force Academy.
Trevor getting ready to do the kids challenge. He did awesome and if I can get the video to work on here, I definitely will post it tonight.
Trevor congratulating daddy for winning a medal. He enjoyed a strawberry sno-cone and was red for a couple days.

Trevor was not happy because he didn't like grandma taking his picture. This was on our mini-hike to the chapel...pic of chapel is coming later.

Trevor got up close and personal with this giraffe.

Backyard Fun

Well, as some of you know, we had our backyard hydro-seeded so we could finally have a nice fenced in yard for Trevor to play in. It has finally all grown in and it is looking good.
I mowed it today for Steve. He was gonna do it when he got home from work, but I decided to be a good wife and surprise him. He appreciated it, but then told me to mow a certain way...men!
Anyway, after I mowed I decided to get Trevor's pool out. I had to go with the small one because we don't have a pump and I really didn't want Trevor to watch mommy pass out from lack of oxygen :)
He was so happy and made me get the toys that go with his other pool so he would have some stuff to play with.
This is his fish face...pretty good one!

And this is his CHEEEESE face....the head tilt is an ever present thing in all his good smile pics.

He decided to try his goggles on and though he didn't get them on very well (hence the bent ear), he looked very cute in them!
I think that the pool had him pretty well worn out. He took a good nap and then bugged daddy until he went to bed-yes he goes to bed BEFORE Trevor does :) About an hour before bed, Trevor said: "Mommy cover me up. Me sleep on floor. Really really sleepy" and he snored.

He is a real goofball and a real turd. He is making me crack up one minute and making me wish I drank the next.
I guess that is how they are supposed to be when they are 2 and trying to figure out this crazy world we live in....

The Baby

I have been horrible about taking pics lately, but here are a couple from the last 2 weeks.
We went shopping for a birthday present for a little girl and I stopped to look at dolls. Trevor said, "Me want doll mommy!" I said, "Are you sure? Dolls are usually toys for girls." He said, "Please please please mommy! Me want doll too!" So I got him one that looks more like a boy. He is always saying, "Awww...Hi baby!" when he sees his doll.
He is happy to have a real baby instead of calling his Pillsbury Doughboy his baby all the time!
I recently discovered that Trevor loves bacon, Particularly the kind that you just heat in the microwave. I think he would eat a whole package if I allowed it.

Nothing really exciting has been happening. Mothers Day was good. I ended up with a puppy that we ultimately had to give to one of Steve's friends. I felt bad because Steve put alot of thought into it since he knew how much I miss Dakota, and he really liked the puppy he chose.
Our anniversary is coming up on Monday...7 years already!

Alright Captain!

The blog is back with just a few pictures.
I have been doing this Barry's Bootcamp workout and Trevor loves the "ball", really an oval, that came with it. I am just scared of a busted head from him rolling over it.
The early signs of cross dressing....Just kidding. What kid doesn't love wearing their parents shoes?! He thought he was so cute trying my shoes on.

Steve didn't have to work on Friday, so we all went to see Earth. Trevor was really excited to see it. For his first theater movie, he did really good in there. The movie was good with great footage of the land and animals and we all learned something. Here is Trevor getting ready for the movie to start.

We have been pretty busy but haven't taken any pics-nothing exciting. Some old friends moved in down the street and we have been hanging out with them a lot. We might have some pics by the end of the week.
On another note, Trevor has been saying some pretty funny stuff lately.
We were cleaning the house and I was putting away some old toys, for the millionth time (he keeps getting them out of the closet). This is how our conversation went...
"These toys need to stay in the closet, that way if you ever has a brother or sister, the toys will still be good."
Trevor: "Me want sister! Sister sister sister!"
Me: "Maybe someday buddy."
Trevor:"Have girlfriend, mommy"
Me: "Who has a girlfriend? You?"
Trevor: "No, daddy has girlfriend."
Me: "Oh he does, does he?!" "Daddy, is there anything you want to tell me? Trevor just told on you for having a girlfriend!"
Steve: "Trevor, I told you not to tell mommy!"
Trevor just laughed and thought it was hilarious.
Another instance....I was getting ready to read to Trevor before bed and he was just poking around.
Me: "Trevor are you ready for your bedtime stories?"
Trevor: "Not yet!"
Me: "Wrong answer. It is getting late we need to read now."
Trevor: "ALRIGHT CAPTAIN"........with a salute and all!
I cracked up and he thought he was pretty funny too!

Easter....Sorry so late

Here are the Easter pics (and a couple others) that I have been promising.
Trevor got to do a bunny project the weekend before Easter and was so happy that he got to help me glue things together. He decided he wanted to color them all, even ours, and then he told us over and over who's bunny was who's.
I got Trevor some new shoes at Target and he was so excited. He wanted to "Wear them home now, Mommy" when I tried them on him in the store. He thought he was pretty cool when he showed them to daddy. He put them on and said "Take picture mommy. Me stand on wall."
On Easter morning when Trevor woke up, I had a treasure hunt ready for him to find his special present that the Easter bunny left for him. He did a really good job and was really excited about his new Mickey jammies.

Unfortunately Steve got called in to work so we didn't get to go to the Easter service at church. We had just enough time to do the egg hunt before Daddy had to get ready to leave. Trevor did really good and he only got stumped when we got down to the very last egg-I hid it behind the tire of daddy's truck...so it was hard!
Here is a cute pic of him with one of the eggs he found.

He was totally ready to come in and see what was inside the eggs. You can see the piece of candy that fell out of this one. There were also some coins and tattoos in a couple of them.

I have more pics from the last couple weeks that I might post if I have time at some point this week....I am not promising anything, so don't hold your breath.
