Memorial Day Weekend...Just a little late

I know...it has been a long time since I last updated. We had a good Memorial day weekend. Friday evening we were out at the lake with some friends from Steve's work (Steve ended up camping) and then Saturday we went to pick him up and played for a couple hours. On Sunday we stayed home and let Trevor play in the yard.
He wanted to water the tree-which ends up being time to water himself, but it was 100 degrees out, so I let him.
He also thought that the rocks looked thirsty!
I put the sprinkler on to see what he would do. He just wanted to spin it-he didn't even care when the water got in his face.
Sunday evening we made a fire in the new fire pit I bought and made S'Mores. Trevor got his first taste of the chocolate-marshmallow bliss....and he really enjoyed it!
Monday was a day of rest for Trevor and I since Daddy was doing yard work and spraying weeds. When Steve was inside he caught Trevor wearing my headband and just had to take a picture. I call it his crown...
Steve has water training on Saturday so I am not sure what we will be doing this weekend. Then next weekend he will be going to New Mexico for a Firefighter Challenge Competition so Trevor and I will be hanging out. I would love to go, but the budget really doesn't allow it.

Silly Fun Times

We are finally back...my mind was on vacation and I just didn't get around to doing the blog, but I have been taking pictures because Trevor has been being silly and creative and acting very grown up at times.

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary so I got a cupcake cake and gave Trevor one. He enjoyed it, but surprised me by eating it nice and slow. He was really savoring the flavor of the frosting.
I am no longer surprised by the new things that Trevor does and says everyday, but it never seizes to amaze me.

A Good Visit with Grampy

Trevor had a great time with Grampy Rick (Papa) when he was here last week. We went to the zoo, played in the pool, watched Alvin and the Chipmunks (on a rainy day) and went to the lake. He finally learned to say down-he always used to say UP even when he wanted down. He also learned to say right, maybe, and sings yi-yi-yo to "Old McDonald" (he forgets the E in front and bunches the sounds together). He also got very good at being mean to the dog. He is constantly telling him NO and MOVE. I think we are already hitting those dreaded terrible 2's....ugh.
