Pics of the Week

This week flew by and before I knew it, it has been 5 days since I last posted. Here are pics from this week...
Wednesday morning breakfast was quite interesting as Trevor tried to make this bear eat some Cheerios!
Thursday is when Trevor became obsessed about hiding all the time. Here are him and Daddy peeking out at me!

Thursday evening we went out with some friends to eat dinner. Trevor got a sucker on the way home and I let him bring it in to eat it. I soon had to take it because he kept sticking it on Steve...then used it to pet the dog!
Today Trevor was adamant about putting on my sock that he found...I thought it looked quite cute!
Then he found one for the other leg...that obviously wasn't a match, but he really wanted to wear it...
Soon he forgot about his legs and found these puppets to play with...
I have noticed lately that Trevor is getting into more creative play. He has started making his stuffed animals "walk" and kiss. He is also really into sorting things and putting things into bags, buckets, anything!

He is quite the character lately. Steve and I spent a good portion of the day laughing at him. Hopefully his silliness doesn't wear out anytime soon because Grampy Rick is going to be here on Saturday...and we would much rather have a silly boy than a grumpy one!

The Doctor and 2 Shirts

I went to Target last week to look for a curtain for Trevor's room and had no luck....but I did find some cute shirts on clearance that I just had to buy.

I finally got him to flex and make a silly face, but he had his arm resting on the couch...
He was being very sweet to puppy last night before bed...
Here is his other new shirt....thankfully by having him wear it I didn't curse myself! He was actually quite a good boy today!
Trevor had his 18 month exam on Monday and the pediatrician said he is doing very well overall. He is 32 inches tall and weighs about 27 pounds. He only got one shot (Hep A) and was over being mad when I let him play with the basketball in the waiting room when we were leaving.

The Pool

I bought Trevor a new pool that came with a bunch of inflatable toys while I was at WalMart yesterday. We decided to use it today because it was about 90 degrees out. He had a ton of fun with all the toys. Here are some pics of our pool party!

We had a great time outside...we actually all ended up in the pool! I am sure we will be using the pool a lot this year.

Yesterday we planted some zinnia and sunflower seeds together in a mini greenhouse. Hopefully in a couple weeks we will be getting some sprouts. Trevor was quite helpful pushing the seeds down in the dirt and he sprayed them after we got them in there.

It was a fun weekend!

The Rash

Just a quick update with some pictures of the last couple days. I took Trevor into the doctor yesterday because the rash he had was getting worse and the ant stings were not looking so good. The doc was pretty sure that the rash is an "exanthem" which is just a rash that typically shows in infants when they have had a viral or bacterial infection. Though he said it is possible that it could be an immune response to the ant stings. He said the stings aren't yet infected, but didn't look too good so he gave me an antibacterial ointment to put on them.

This is an up-close view of what the rash looks like (this is his thigh). The rash is EVERYWHERE...it makes me so sad to look at him. I have been keeping him in just his diaper as often as possible because I am not sure if the rash itches, so I figured I would keep clothes from irritating it if they do.
I am hoping that the doc was right about it being nothing and that it will go away in a few days. He has his 18 month exam on Monday anyway. Thanks for the good thoughts sent Trevor's way!

In the morning we are going to Denny's for breakfast with a friend, then I think we are taking Trevor to a park for a little bit to play.

The Week's Pics

Trevor is feeling and sounding better everyday, although now he has a rash from head to toe to go along with his fire ant stings. He stepped in a mound on Saturday and some of the stings are looking pretty good, while others are just too red for my liking.

I am not sure if the rash and the stings are related in anyway since it has been a while, but I am going to call the nurse in the morning just to make sure that they aren't infected and causing a systemic reaction.

I was teaching Trevor how to squish his face up using his hands, and this is what I got from him.

Every time I try to take a picture he either turns away or comes toward the camera....

He was quite interested in my camera case...he even put his hand inside and tried to use it like a puppet!

I think we are all finally starting to feel better. I plan on Lysoling the entire house tomorrow, then taking Trevor for a walk to let everything sanitize and dry. Hopefully this marks out last cold for a while...but I won't hold my breath!

Quick Note

Sorry it has been so long since I updated. Trevor has had an ear infection and yucky cold for the past week. Steve and I are both a but sick now too...imagine that!
Steve also took Thursday and Friday off so we could get some stuff done around the house outside before he starts his new class....but not much got done. We did get the house generally clean though.
I will try to get some pics up tomorrow night since everything will be back to normal with the schedule.

Random Pics

The week has flown by again and I just have a few pics to share.
Trevor has re-discovered his Laugh and Learn Puppy that I got him forever ago. He loves that it sneezes or says "nose" when he push his nose. Here he is wrestling with it...he later gave him a kiss!
He was trying to put these pants on his head by himself. I helped only because I thought it would make a funny picture.
Trevor is slightly obsessed with shoes. When I got done working out and took my shoes off, he immediately wanted to wear them. He kind of looked like a clown when he was walking in them.
Not sure what will happen this weekend. I want to take Trevor to the park, but I am not sure what the weather will be like. Hopefully we have one good day to go do something.
