Finally More Pics

I have gotten behind again...imagine that!

I have a few pics from the past couple of days that I have been meaning to get on here and figured there is no time like the present.

A while ago, I got into the bad habit of letting Trevor eat while sitting on my lap, which never gave him much practice in feeding himself. But I have committed to at least for breakfast, putting him in his chair and letting him feed himself. I must say that I am impressed with his skills, since he didn't get much practice until now.

Here he is on Sunday morning getting "scoops" of his yogurt.

And in it goes...I am trying to teach him to hold his spoon differently, but am not quite sure how to get him to keep it that way.

I made fajitas for dinner on Sunday and Trevor really like my tortilla, so I made him a little cheese quesadilla. He decided to eat it with daddy, and off of daddy!!

Trevor is what I like to call a "hoarder" with his food. If he knows there are no more bites left, he will hang onto that last bite and fight to the death if you try to take it. He often walks around taking little licks of it until he decides to eat it (sometimes up to 30 minutes later), he drops it and Dakota gets it, or we pry it out of his little hand.

He was posing for the camera today so he could look at the picture after I took it!

The rest of the week---We will be taking a trip to the store in the morning to get some stuff for SuperBowl Sunday snacks and steak dinner (I think). Other than that, our schedule will consist mostly of playing, trying out our new jogging stroller and whatever else Trevor decides to do!

New Shoes

Today we went to get Trevor a new pair of shoes because he was starting to outgrow his old ones. We finally found a pair after looking at pretty much every store in the mall. We got him some cool white and blue Reebok's from their Play Doh line (each pair of shoes comes with 2 small jars of Play Doh). Footlocker was having a good sale and we got them for like $8! Though they are a little big-we had to get a 6 because they only come in whole sizes, so he is a tad clumsy in them. I am going to order a 5.5 online from somewhere and let him grow into these for a bit.
Anyway, here are some pics of today (but starting with a couple pics from Thursday and Friday).

Acting like he is resting....He found some dirt/sand to play in while digging in the rocks and he just loved showing us his dirty hands!Eventually the rocks got boring, so he decided to run away across the street (don't worry, Daddy watched, followed, and brought him back)!He was just too excited about the leaf that he found!I think I will sit on the doormat and study this leaf for a while...I have a video that I am going to upload tomorrow evening. They take a long time, and it is late, or I would do it tonight. See ya then!

Finally....

I am back with some pics that I took today!
Trevor and I have just been hanging out at home since I have been sick, so I have nothing really exciting to report.

Trevor loves any commercial with babies in it....I caught him here watching one.
This is his "drunk from string cheese" look as he is running from Dakota.
"I know you are sick and I have cheese in my mouth, but I really want a kiss mommy!"
He loves to yell into tubes and things that make his voice sound funny. He decided to use his screwdriver handle since it fit nicely IN his mouth and he didn't have to hold it.
Here is Trevor telling me that the cow says "MOOOOOOO"....
Trevor hasn't shown any signs yet of catching whatever I have, so I am praying that he doesn't. I would hate for him to feel as miserable as I do. I am not sure what the week ahead will hold, but I will try to take more pics than I have been!

SORRY...

...I am sick so I haven't been taking pics. I know it is bad, and I will try to remember tomorrow. It is hard enough to try to just keep Trevor entertained throughout the day when I feel so yucky.

Check-Up Time

Yesterday Trevor had his 15-month checkup. It went well and the doctor said that he is doing well developmentally. He now weighs 24lbs 14 oz, is 31 inches tall, and has a HUGE head (100th percentile-but we already knew that)!

He will brush his teeth anytime, anyplace...

Just after we got home from the appointment. He needed a little Teddy hug after the shots, then he was as happy as can be!

"I really don't like having these Band-Aids on"...
"Can you help me take this off please?"

Today we spent the day cleaning. I finally got around to getting Trevor's closet cleaned out and went through ALL of his clothes-what a chore! We are not going to the circus after all. We decided to just go to the rodeo when it comes to town next month.

A Bit Better

Trevor is finally acting more like himself and his fever is gone. He is still kind of crabby, so I think maybe it is his tooth that finally poked through.
Here he is yesterday running out of the kitchen while doing what we like to call "The Trevor Wiggle"...
I decided to get TJ Bearytales out and see how Trevor did with him. At first, he was quite intrigued and was pointing nicely to his eyes and mouth.
But then he started to get mean with TJ....
I told him that we don't act mean and that he needed to give TJ a kiss...
I didn't take any pics today. Things were a bit off schedule with Steve getting home, then I worked out late, then was in kitchen for about an hour making dinner.
I will take some pics this weekend. I think we are going to the circus on Sunday...but that is not a for sure thing yet. We will have to see what the next couple of days brings us.

Saturday Pics

I am finally getting around to posting pics from Saturday.
The Seahawks ended up losing but the Cowboys lost too, which made us very happy!
Here is Trevor feeding himself a post-nap, pre-game snack (some applesauce)...
He kept going in his room to play with the chair so I brought it out and he was quite delighted that he could rock himself...
"Look at all of my teeth everybody!!" (He's got 16 of them!)

I haven't taken any pics in the last 2 days. Trevor woke up with a fever on Sunday morning and has had one since. I have no clue what it is from. He isn't really experiencing anything else other than the general crabbiness that comes from having the fever. We will see what he looks like in the morning. Hopefully, he will be feeling all better.

15 Month Birthday!

Trevor turned 15 months old today! Time really does fly by! We celebrated with some awesome playtime outside-the weather was just right for some running around.
We really haven't been busy this week; the week just went by really fast and I got lazy with the blog, but I am back with pictures.

This was Trevor's idea of fun tonight. He had a really good time throwing the diapers everywhere. I am just glad I caught him before he got all 90 out of the package!
Tomorrow is a big day for us. The Seahawks play the Green Bay Packers, so it will be tense in the house. I am sure Trevor will be acting goofy like on most game days (he must pick something up from Steve) and I will get some pics.

A Long Couple of Days...

The last few days have gone by really slow in the Burpee house. Trevor has been having bouts of crankiness with his teeth and at the same time he is learning tons of new things and trying to say new words too!

This morning Trevor didn't want to get out of bed without Teddy and Glowy, so here he is snuggling with them on the couch.
I have been working on trying to get our house back into order after being lazy for a couple weeks. As you can see, the mantle still has Christmas stuff on it, so does the front window. I figure by the end of the week, we should be all caught up in getting everything back to normal.
Trevor and I have a trip to the commissary on the agenda for tomorrow. So far that is the only thing on our agenda, so I think we will take care of that mantle....

New Camera...

We had to buy a new camera today because our old one decided not to work anymore for some reason. It is a really nice camera and didn't set us back too much, so I guess it wasn't too bad.
Nothing too exciting happened today, but here are a couple pics from the new camera.

Tomorrow we plan on going to the Nature Center and then the Seahawks play. It should be a good day to take some more pics and get used to the new camera.

Picture Time

I am finally here with some pictures from the last few days. Steve being home from work and staying up later than usual has thrown me off for a while, but things are back to normal and now I will try to stay on top of this better.

Here is Trevor trying to hide from me at diaper changing time...

He is not too big on hats, but decided that Daddy's "Block 3" hat was cool enough to wear around!

This amazed me so much that I had to take a picture. Steve is not a poopy diaper changer (he is what I call a "gagger"), but I was making dinner and this is what I saw when I entered the living room...
Steve cut the sleeves off a shirt and figured they would make good hats for the boys. Here they are looking silly. Trevor wore it around for about an hour and Steve actually had to take it off him before bed.

Trevor colored this morning while I did a load of dishes. Not surprisingly, his hands ended up more colored than the paper. Then his tongue ended up colored after he licked his hand!
One of his bottom eye teeth is still having a hard time coming though. Hopefully it will pop through and this cranky phase will end. That tooth will be #16! I guess that maybe it is time to make a dentist appointment soon.

Saturday we will be going to the Nature Center. We were going to go last week, but they were closed. We should get some good pics and I probably won't post until Saturday night. But who knows;Trevor might just do something I can't wait to share with you.

SORRY...

...I have been MIA for a while, but I will be posting pics either tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow evening.
We haven't really been too busy, just enjoying Steve's time off, until today when he went back to work.
Trevor is having a little bit of a language explosion. He has learned a few new words that include: bottle, diaper, and ball. I think that now that he has had walking and running down pat for quite a few months, that he is starting to figure out that there are other things to do, like talk!
