Christmas Time Fun

I am finally back. Time has been going by so fast and by the time I think about putting pics on here, it has been too late to try to edit them to get them on. But I have some new pics of some events that have been going on in our house.
Trevor was so excited when I told him he could put candy canes on the tree-the fact that they had SpongeBob on them (along with some other Nickelodeon characters) made it even better! For some reason he clustered them all up a few times, then finally started spreading them out a little.
Trevor has become a little photographer. I cannot take the camera out without him thinking he needs to "take pishure mommy!" so here is a pic he took of the Christmas tree. Santa might be bringing him a kiddie-camera this year....

This is the picture I was going to send out in cards, but I didn't really have time to get them printed out before I needed to get my cards sent out. Maybe we will send out picture cards for Valentines day or something...and yes, you do see a pattern. Trevor is a nudist. He loves to undress himself, usually as soon as he gets out of bed and when we get home from somewhere he is peeling his clothes off.

We had a Christmas party on Friday night for Steve's work and Trevor was super excited when he saw this baby goat. Every time he caught a glimpse, he just had to pet him.

Trevor was even more excited when Santa rode into the building. He kept saying "Hi Santa!" over and over. He was waving so much and so hard that I thought his arm might fall off. When he got on Santa's lap, he said "Guitar please!"

We still have some Christmas crafts to do that will be really fun and messy and I will be sure to take pictures when we get around to doing them.
We have been having a good time and Trevor is getting smarter everyday. He is always surprising me with the things he says and does. He is still asking for Dakota occasionally and I just tell him that "Doggy is gone and is probably not coming home". I think that late next year we will get another dog...maybe that will be Trevor's Christmas present.

New Pics as Promised

Here are the pictures that I have promised. It is not much, but it's something.
Trevor was being nosey wanted to see the camera but wouldn't let me get a good picture of him, so this is what I ended up with...

For Thanksgiving dinner, I cooked almost all of the food and took it over to a friend's house. We had a pretty good day despite the fact that Dakota was missing. Here is Trevor in the middle of dinner.

This is Trevor and his friend Kirk enjoying dinner together. They ended up eating very little because there were so many kids there-7 in total.

SO....we still haven't found Dakota. I am really starting to think that someone found him and is keeping him or that he is dead. It has now been a week and I find it very hard to believe that he is still out roaming around. That being said, I am still looking for him. I have been checking in with the shelter, I placed my newspaper ad and the other classified ad. I am also going to make some newer bigger signs in the next couple of days.

Trevor misses him and is often heard saying "Doggy go?" and "Come home doggy" at random times throughout the day. We say "night-night, love you and come home soon" out the back door every night. I am going to get some pictures of Trevor and Dakota printed out and make a little book. That way Trevor will always have memories of his first dog. And if Dakota does end up back home, then Trevor will just have an extra book!

Sorry...

...I have totally checked out since Dakota went missing. I have a few pics to post and will get them up by tomorrow-I promise.
We still haven't found Dakota. I went to the shelter, called all the vets, and all the kennels in town. I posted an ad online our local news page. I posted an ad in the paper-today is the first day it will run and it will be in there for a week. And I am going to post an ad in the American classifieds too. I just pray that someone has him and just wasn't being proactive about finding out who he belonged to. Maybe they will see my ad and call.
I feel sick not knowing where he is. I told my dad last night that I want him home SOOO badly, but I would rather find out that he is dead than never know where he is. I just can't not know how he is doing. If someone has him, are they taking care of him? I keep asking God to just speak to me and let me know where he is....this is either a test or I'm not listening.

(You'll have to excuse the mess-this is what happens to my living room everyday!)

What a Week...

This week has been a long, yucky week for Trevor and I. Steve went to Las Vegas for the firefighter competition and we stayed home and got sick. Imagine that! All I can say is that if I feel better next weekend it is time that I get a break-I could really use a haircut. That is about the extent of my alone time!
Here are some pics from last week (Steve took the camera so I don't have any from this week, but maybe I will have some pics of his trip for you soon).
Trevor was out in the garage with Steve "helping with laundry" and he came in wearing these! I thought it was so funny!

Here is a picture of Trevor's pink eye. I felt bad because he was so mad when he couldn't open it when he woke up. And putting drops in his eyes is like some form of toture. I literally have to straddle him down on the floor and pry his eyes open.
I got some White Fudge Covered Oreo's at WalMart one day (they are sinfully delicious by the way) and Trevor decided the white fudge was the best part and licked it until it turned to goo...then proceeded to rub it over his entire face (yes, that is the cookie under his hand on his cheek)!

Last Saturday, we went to watch a Veteran's day parade that Steve was in (we didn't get to watch the whole thing-Steve had the place wrong). We walked through Kid Kingdom to get to Steve and on the way back we stopped to play for a while.
Trevor was dead-set on lifting this tire even though it was bolted to the wood. He was even grunting!Trevor usually doesn't like swinging but decided this day that he did. But the swing he picked was facing the sun, so he wanted to wear my sunglasses. I thought he looked cute!He kept sitting in front of the slide like he was going to go down. That made me happy because he doesn't like going alone most of the time. But he was just messing with me and being goofy. He is telling me to "Clap Mommy!"
The only way I could get him out of the park is by asking him if he wanted to go see the dino. Of course he wanted to see it...but he also wanted to ride it! I couldn't get a good pic when he was up there, but here he is trying to climb up.
I had to get something out of the car and Trevor followed me and insisted on driving. So I let him and he seemed to know what he was doing for the most part. Here is just a random pic of him in the car. He was really mad when I made him go inside.

We pick up Daddy tomorrow night. I am sure Trevor will be super excited to see him!
I'm not sure what is on the agenda for the next week...hopefully it involves feeling better though!
I think we are hosting Thanksgiving at our house for a couple other families, but I haven't gotten a definite answer yet. If so, I will be busy starting to get the house cleaned up!
I wish we were rich and could hire an organizer and a maid....

Halloween Pictures...

I am finally back with some new pics and that means Halloween pictures!
Except for this one...he just loved his new footsie jammies and had to be ham about it.
He was quite the little attentive artist while painting his pumpkin. But he wanted me to paint it too, so I added his name. This is what he was working so hard on.....

At first he wanted nothing to do with the "pumpkin brains" but then he got into it and wanted to help scrape them out. And he was pretty proud of it.
Here he is checking out the finished product. Daddy didn't carve one this year-but ours were good enough.

It took me forever to figure out what Trevor was going to be for Halloween. Then I decided on a farmer. I got the clothes and everything. But the night before Halloween I changed my mind after a random idea popped into my head (at midnight). I kept the idea a secret from Steve too. I thought nobody else would be dressed like him, but everyone would know what his costume was.....Here he is everyone!!!
Introducing your 2008 Beijing Olympics 8-time Gold Medalist MICHAEL PHELPS!
Here is another one from when we got home after trick or treating. We were then on our way to a Halloween party at a friend's house.
And little did I know that one of the guys at the party would be dressed as Michael Phelps too! If I had told Steve my idea, then I would have known because the guy is his friend.
Here are the two champs!

Steve dressed up for the party (it was a costume party, I had no costume though) as a "towel-head" (Arab). He even had an authentic "man-dress" that he got on his first deployment.
Trevor was doing so much running and playing that I decided to take his stuff off. Here he is chilling after a long night.
Overall, it was a fun night. Next year we are definitely all dressing up-hopefully with some kind of family costume.
Hope you enjoy!

Pics from Last Week

I won't write much...I am just going to let you all enjoy some pics from last week!

Trevor loves being goofy when we play outside...
He would make me count "1,2,3 GO!" then would run down the driveway at me and crash into my legs.
Posing for the camera!
This time he found a big grasshopper to look at. Of course he thought it was "cute"...what a strange child!

I was trying to take his picture the other night, but he insisted I take one of his bear Stewie. He was telling Stewie to "smile". Not too much new going on....just counting down the days until Grammy Cheryl gets here for Trevor's birthday....she will be here on Monday.
Trevor now says "TWO!" every time I tell him "Grammy is coming in ___ days!" He tries to show us 2, but doesn't quite have the coordination to keep his other fingers down.
He is also putting many more words together; the most often heard are "Silly doggie" and "Hi mommy/daddy/doggie" . He recently started calling us mommy and daddy instead of mama and dada. He runs around chanting "mommydaddymommydaddydoggiemommy" quite often.

We're Back!!

Okay, okay...The blog is back. Steve was giving me a hard time because it had been a week since I last updated. I have just been busy and tired though I have had some of these pics on the camera for a while now.
Trevor loves sunglasses. It doesn't matter what they look like or whose they are-he always wants to try them on. He got these in a party favor bag...
He also loves his Lego's. He likes to destroy the things we build though, and then expects us to help him if he breaks his creations!
I bought some cheap sun catchers at Wal-Mart along with some paints for a project that I thought would be fun. He started out painting the sun catchers, but then wanted to paint just paper. He was doing quite nicely with the brushes for a while...
...but I guess he thought brushes were overrated and decided hands worked much better!

Then he eventually decided that his entire body was WAY more fun to paint than the paper. It was quite a mess, but washed off without a problem. So therefore, I will sing Crayola's praises once again. I LOVE CRAYOLA!!!
We finally had a cool down for a few days and it was so nice to be able to take Trevor out and play without being worried about the heat. We actually ended up staying out for about 90 minutes. Shortly before we came back in Trevor spotted a tiny little butterfly in the grass and was being so sweet checking him out. Boys and bugs....at least he didn't try killing it. I told him that butterflies are good bugs that are cute so we don't kill them. So he sat there watching him saying "cute!" over and over.
I was showing Steve the pictures that I took and Trevor wanted to take the camera. I wouldn't let him have it, so this is the face that accompanied the screaming!
Finally, Trevor made his face into a living picture with this cardboard frame that he found in a box that came in the mail. Please excuse the booger way up in his nose...He had been looking down at the floor and he took it literally when I said "Look up so I can see you".
We have been dealing with some attitude problems lately. I hope it is temporary until he gets used to the fact that I am gone working when he gets up from his nap and don't come home for a couple hours. If this is the terrible 2's, it is gonna be a LONG year....sigh!

Just a Couple

I am just posting a couple pics that were taken last Wednesday before Steve left for a long weekend in Tyler for a competition.
We were all in the bedroom while Steve was getting ready and Trevor was acting goofy. This is his "angry cheese face" I guess!
Trevor saw Steve's fire coat and kept saying "Wear, Wear!" so I put it on him and while it was quite heavy, he was still excited!
I have more pics on the camera that I will load sometime later this week.

Weird Clothes and A Fun Time

So, you all know that Trevor loves to wear strange things. The following is his latest creation...and a goofy face to go along with it!
I bought Trevor some little tank tops just to wear around and they will be good under his Seahawks jersey. He wanted to wear one right away. He thought he was pretty cool!
On Labor day the guys had practice out at the challenge course and pretty much everyone had their kids there. Trevor had a good time playing. He decided to wear Daddy's stinky gloves on the wrong hands.

Steve took him about halfway up the tower just to get a look at stuff.
And he helped one of his buddies get going on the bike! :)
Then Nick took him all the up to the top of the tower (6 stories) ! I really had to crop this one so you could see their faces.
After practice Steve took us into the high-bay and I showed Trevor this firetruck. And got their picture with it...sorry about the reflective stuff!
We had a pretty good laid back weekend. Steve is leaving on Thursday morning again to go to Tyler to compete. Not sure what we will do yet-only time will tell!
