A Goofy Day

Trevor woke up this morning in a playful mood so we spent most of the morning on the floor playing and "twirling"-which Trevor finds quite delightful!
He got a bath, then we played a little longer, and then it was time for a nap. After his nap is when the craziness started. I have no idea what got into him , but he has been extremely silly ever since.
Here is our day documented in pictures. I couldn't decide between the pics to post, so I made a Smilebox. I hope you enjoy!

Blanket Wrestling

To start off, here is a cute pic of Trevor from yesterday...
On Sunday, Steve got a big blanket out of the closet to nap with and Trevor hasn't left it alone since. He is always trying to pull it off the couch and roll around in it.

Yesterday Steve taught Trevor how to wrestle with the blanket and he had a pretty good time.
All wrapped up....

Trying to catch his breath. Who knew it could be so tiring...Trevor was being silly this morning and playing peek-a-boo with me while I was trying to take his picture. He said "ho ho ho" today. I put on my Santa hat (that is what the red fuzzy on his shoulder is from) and said it, and to my surprise, he copied me!The he was being goofy with the kitchen. First he put his leg in the sink, then he was playing peek-a-boo with the stuff in the fridge. I think he did that because the fridge says it sometimes when he opens the door. Here he is telling doggy to stay out of his fridge...For an update, Trevor now says, doggy (sometimes it sounds more like doddy), woof(woo), men, eye (and pokes just about any ones eye when he says it), baby (often sounds like bay-e), and he tried to say monkey today. He is always saying something, just not much else is distinguishable. So I have begun really cracking down on "The Name Game" and telling Trevor what EVERYTHING is all the time.

Weekend Fun

Friday morning I went shopping (I was only gone for 2 hours) and Trevor stayed home with Daddy and Uncle Al. Soon after I got home, it was time for Trevor's nap and for the guys to go to their movie.
Once everyone was back home, Daddy finally baby-proofed the kitchen and Trevor and I played outside.

On Saturday, Trevor and I had a Mommy and Me day because Steve and Al went paintballing all day. We went to the PX and Commissary, then came home and played a bit before Trevor napped.
I made a big spaghetti dinner and Trevor loved the spaghetti!

I couldn't get a good pic of the cute new face he makes, but this is close, minus the smile! More please....

Today we hung lights outside, but I didn't have enough hands to take pics of Trevor. It was like 38 degrees, so needless to say, he was cold with a red nose.
We had a good time though, and the good news is that the Seahawks won!!!!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Trevor started out the day a little "iffy" about Uncle Al (who got in late last night). But he warmed up quickly and had a good day today running all over the house and playing with the guys in the office (on the PlayStation 2). Normally I don't let Trevor in the kitchen all the time because I can't see in there from the living room, but I was in there pretty much all day, so I let him roam "free range".

Trevor was more interested in being goofy at the dinner table than eating...

He did have a few bites of food-and of his high chair strap...After dinner, the guys played Madden '08 and Trevor was back there with them. He kept running out to see me, then would run back to them. I was on the phone with Grampa Rick and caught a glimpse of Trevor's bottom. Maybe too much info, but he made a poopy, and that is when I realized why he didn't eat (he had to go) and why he kept running in to see me. It was pretty funny really, but maybe you had to be here.

Here he is telling Daddy he is all clean and ready to play...

We hung out for a while and Trevor played a bit while dessert was in the oven. Trevor found my phone to be a good way to pass the time. I think that with a shirt like that, maybe he was calling some baby girls! Then he finally looked at me with a face that said, "Mommy, where is my dessert??"Overall we had a good day. But we ended the night on kind of a bad note. Trevor ran down the hall, and from what I assume, slipped on a DVD case, fell on the tile and cracked the back of his head. Needless to say, there is a pretty good lump there. I gave him some Tylenol and am just listening for him on the monitor. I am sure he will be fine, but I am being cautious.

I am exhausted from cooking all the food all day long. Tomorrow morning I am heading out to do a little bit of shopping and Trevor is staying home with the guys. Hopefully Steve will finally get the kitchen cabinets baby-proofed.

Silly Boy

Trevor acted crazy about 90% of the day. We went to Target and Walmart this morning to pick up a few things. He kept trying to turn the wrong way in the cart so he could get to everything. On the way home he just started laughing in the back seat for no reason. Then whenever I would look at him, he would do this fake laugh "hahahaa" that he has been doing for the last couple of days.
Today he started doing this silly thing with his hands where he gets all tense and holds them out and shakes them...

Then he decided to stop being silly for a minute to give me a good, sweet smile...Today I finally started to let Trevor have his bowl and spoon to feed himself. Usually if I do give him the spoon, I hold the bowl and scoop for him, then he put the food in his mouth. But today I found some bowls with suction cups on the bottom so he can't throw the bowl! He did really well for his first time.

He likes to dip the spoon in a few times first...

Then he went to take a big bite, and it went right into his mouth! I was a proud mommy!

I bought Trevor a Santa hat today and he modeled it for daddy tonight...This week should bring some fun and hopefully some good pics. Uncle Al will be getting here late Wednesday night and we will be having a big Thanksgiving dinner here. I also plan on getting the house decorated the day after and going shopping that morning.

Playing at Home

Trevor has had a little bit of a runny nose for a couple days, so we have stayed at home all weekend to play. Friday he had a really good time playing with his firetruck...
Then he tried to get Dakota to come play with him, but Dakota just wanted a pat on the belly...
Daddy shot a deer last night so Trevor was up past his bedtime. He was acting silly when I brought him home from Uncle Louie's (where the guys were taking care of the deer)...
Today he spent a lot of time on his lion. I think he is trying to figure out how to go forward because he has been spending a lot of time on Lion.
"Someday this whole universe will be mine...Ahhahahaha!" I swear that is what he is thinking when he makes this evil little face!
Overall, he seems to be feeling a little better. I think he just has a short "nose thing" that I had at the beginning of the week.

I think that tomorrow we will start getting some Christmas stuff put up. Hopefully Trevor will help me with some decorating!

A Nosey Boy

Trevor usually gets all excited when dinner time comes. Tonight we had herb chicken tortellini and I thought for sure that he would not be too interested in it with all the strong flavors-but I was wrong. He really liked it. He did get a little carried away slapping the fork around in the bowl though. He carried the fork around for a good portion of the night after dinner...

He played for a little bit with his kitchen...

Until he realized that Daddy had something that looked fun to play with (he is so nosey about everything)...

Then he wanted "up". He has been saying up for about 2 weeks now. And he is ALWAYS wanting up on the couch when we are sitting on it. So daddy let him up, and then "ate" Trevor (whose attention was caught by a commercial)...

I gave him my big cup when my water was gone because he kept trying to steal it from me, and he really got a kick out of putting it over his face and yelling into it...Steve has staff duty on Saturday from 8am-8pm so I am not sure that anything fun will happen, but maybe we will go visit and take pics. We might be able to pull him away long enough for lunch and a little bit of playing.

Next week Steve only works on Monday. We will be getting the house in order for Al to visit and get ready for Thanksgiving (and then for Christmas decorations).

Until next time.......

Random Stuff

We didn't do much more than watch movies and play out in the front yard over the weeked. Though we did take a trip to the mall on Monday since Daddy had the day off and I needed my hair re-cut.
I didn't take any pics today, so I am posting random pics from the weekend and yesterday.

Looking cool in his beanie...
Trevor loves being on the couch to see what he can get into on the end tables. Here he is slowly going toward the table....

Hanging out with "Uncle" Louie on Monday after terrorizing his house!

I am not sure that we will have any exciting pics until the weekend, but then again, I NEVER know what Trevor will do next!

Playing Outside

We haven't really done anything exciting, so I am just posting pics of Trevor playing outside on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Tomorrow we might go do something fun since Daddy has the day off for Veteran's Day. I am not sure what the weather will be doing, so whatever we do depends on the weather.

Teddy

I went shopping at the PX yesterday for my friend Sarah, who just baby, and I decided to get a cute little bear for Trevor while I was there. Little did I know just how much he would love this bear. He was playing on the couch this morning after eating and wanted "Teddy" who was across the room so I went to get him.

I see you........

Thanks...I love you mommy!

We went to the post office where we met up with daddy (so I wouldn't have to pack Trevor and all the stuff I had to send). And we decided to go have lunch with daddy at work. Trevor had a good time playing with some other babies that were there. When we got home, he was quite cranky and tired so he got Teddy and soon felt all better.

He loves this bear sooooo much. He is always giving Teddy kisses and wants me to kiss Teddy all the time too. He can be so sweet.

I learned today that Trevor is really good at sharing. I thought it was just with me, but he loves to give stuff to other people. Hopefully that lasts!

Now if only I could figure out this nap thing...

New Jammies!

I have been looking all over for pajamas with feet that are in Trevor's size and I finally found some! Thank God for Gerber! They actually make them in 2-packs for about $8 (cheap!) from size 6 months to 5T. And they have the rubber dots on the bottom so he won't slip on the tile. He loved them and kept looking at his feet! Here he is looking cool after a night sleeping in them...

Ever since Grammy was here, Trevor LOVES climbing around on the couches. So we let him and he is always trying to get into whatever is on the end tables. I caught him trying to steal some of my stuff this morning.

He has been giving out kisses to us non-stop for the last couple of days and today I caught him in action getting ready to plant one on me! Luckily for us, he has been getting better at keeping his mouth closed :)

Lately I have been having a hard time getting him to nap on the schedule we had been on. Today he got about 10 minutes of sleep in the car at about 12:30pm and didn't end up falling asleep until 5:30pm. He only slept for about 45 minutes, so thankfully he went to bed at his usual time. Hopefully he will sleep in a little, which means mommy will get to sleep in! I will keep my fingers crossed, but I am not gonna hold my breath!
