Our Weekend

Saturday was mostly a pretty quite day at home. We did some cleaning and of course, Trevor helped by throwing his laundry all over the living room :) Here is Trevor on Saturday afternoon...

The evening is when we all finally did something. Steve went on what I like to call a "man-date" with one of his buddies while Trevor and I went and got dinner and shared some ice cream.
Then we got him into his new firefighter jammies and he yelled at me saying he was ready for bed.
Sunday morning we went to Home Depot to figure out how much a new dishwasher is compared to buying new racks for the one we have. Then we went to Cici's for lunch. Trevor was all decked out with his walking shoes on, so we decided to let him walk outside after lunch. Him and Daddy had a good time...

When we got home, I cleaned my car and then did a little bit of Swiffering in the entryway. Trevor decided he wanted in on the action.
I decided to make it baby sized for him and he had fun carrying it around.
He also taught Dakota the fine art of Swiffering...
(By the looks of this picture, I am going to have to clean the window yet again...Between the dog's nose and Trevor's slobbery little hands, it is never clean.)
So, we had a pretty good weekend. We will be getting outside next weekend because Grammy Cheryl will be here. Trevor is SUPER excited!!! :)

Ducky and Shoes

Today was a slow day for us. Trevor was in his jammies until about 3pm. I knew I was going to give him a bath this afternoon and I didn't want to dirty something when I didn't have to. Plus he took a nap from 12-2:30pm, so I couldn't change him then. We didn't go anywhere, so it wasn't a big deal. Here is a pic from this morning.

After his bath he found his little white shoes and we playing with them so I decided to put them on him and take some pictures. Here is one of him coming after me and the camera...

And here he is playing with the duck (and some other stuff) that goes is his bathwater. He wanted to keep playing with it, so I let him bring it to the living room.

Trevor really enjoyed the toast and jam I gave him for dinner. I would have taken pictures, but my fingers were all sticky! :)

Until next time.....

We've Been M.I.A

Okay...this blog will be full of lots of pics, since it has been like 5 days since I posted.

Not much has been going on....I am finally over being sick-for now anyway! So we haven't been doing much. But we have been having some fun around the house.
Now starts all the pictures!

Watching Football (and being a little silly)...

Showing off those pearly whites...

Delightfully playing, yet plotting to take over the world (look at that face!)...

Positioning himself for a somersault is his new thing....Usually his head is on the floor, not a toy. He will stand like this for a bit, and sometimes he even tries to walk like this!

Offering a bottle to Michelle Tanner.... Yes, I still watch Full House!

Inspecting his Move and Crawl Ball....He likes to throw this toy, much to our disliking.

SO, as you can see, nothing too exciting happened while I have been MIA....but Trevor has been enjoying himself.

I will try to get on more often so there are no more posts as long as this one.

Not Much To Report

So, there is really nothing exciting that we have done in the past week since I have been sick. We have been having some fun around the house though.
Trevor started really jabbering at the dog this week. He will have a conversation with Dakota for an hour if Dakota will stay there and take the beating that Trevor sometimes gives him. He really likes to pat the dog way too hard sometimes. Here are a few pics of him talking to Dakota...

Trevor had some fun playing with Daddy last night before we settled down for bed...

Today he growled at me to show off his top teeth (he is getting a 4th top tooth and now 2 new bottom teeth, too!) He will soon have 8 little chompers! He asks that you please excuse all the slobber...those new teeth are really making him drool.

He also found a new little cubby to play in.....

He also carried on quite the conversation with Grampa Rick this evening...Grampa really got a kick out of that. I am sure that it made his weekend.

All Better....For Now

Trevor seems to really be all better, so I don't think the weekend was a hoax. The bad news is that I have strep throat. I am just praying that he doesn't get it. My hands are ready to crack open because I have been washing them so much trying to prevent giving it to either of the boys. Thank God for Steve...he has really been carrying most of the weight around here since Sunday evening.

I just wanted to post a few pics of Trevor from Saturday through Monday for you all to enjoy!

This is Saturday and he is feeling much better, this is after the mall trip...

He really loves playing with clothes. He thinks it is hilarious to cover his face and walk around. These were on Sunday...
Here he is just being silly while we were watching football.

And here is Monday-with the first bloody "owie" we have had.....

The storey behind the owie......Our end tables have drawers. Trevor thinks it is funny to open them and throw stuff on the floor. He had it open, wasn't paying attention, and fell right onto the corner of the drawer. I was not close enough to catch him in time. It gave me a headache just seeing it. He didn't cry as much as I thought he was going to. He is a real trooper. Today he knocked his forehead on the top part of the table and now has a nice little line bruise above the owie. He hasn't learned the lesson to stay away from the end tables yet....maybe soon :)

The Weekend

This might really run on and not make a whole lot of sense, because I am SICK.....I feel like I might die. Giving birth to Trevor didn't make me feel like this.
I took Trevor to the doctor on Friday. The doc looked him over and told me that he has "Herpangina".....not a form of herpes as it sounds.
It just means that he has ulcers/blisters in his throat (named "herp" for the ulcers part....and angina just means pain). So he has really bad, sore blisters in his throat. I think they are getting better because he is finally eating again. The illness is actually a "sister" disease of hand, foot, and mouth disease-which is SUPER common in children, especially those who go to daycare. So Trevor;s fist trip to the daycare last weekend got him sick....Imagine that
Anyway, his fever broke shortly after he went to the doc and he started to play when we got home-though I know his throat still hurt.
We decided to go to the mall on Saturday and look for a Halloween costume. We found one at Old Navy that is just too cute. He is going to be a rooster. While we were at the mall, Trevor also got his first pair of "big boy" shoes, with hard soles. And he took his first carousel ride....it was an exciting day. We ended our day at the mall in Neon Jungle-an indoor mini golf course that is blacklit.
Today we just went to church and came home to watch football. I started to feel sick at about 1pm. I have been wodering if something I ate made me sick. I know this is too much info, but I actually threw up-and I never throw up. My head hurts, my back hurts, my stomach hurts....everything above my hips hurts.
I felt bad because Trevor really wanted to play with me this evening, but I just hurt and feel sick when I move alot.
Sorry, so long....and that there are no pics. Hopefully I will be better tomorrow and will be able to post some.

A Sick Little Man

Trevor started getting really cranky before bed last night and I thought maybe he had a belly ache or his teeth were bothering him. So I gave him some Tylenol and put him to bed.

This morning he woke up early and was cranky a little later on. I figured it was just because he woke up so early. So we went to WalMart and when we got back it was time for him to eat. I fed him and noticed how hot he felt.

I took his temperature and it was 101.7 so I called the clinic to see what I should do. The nurse said to give him some Tylenol and keep checking it. If it isn't better by morning I have to call and see when I can take him in.

He had no other symptoms other than being cranky, but he has started not wanting to have his bottle. So I think maybe an ear infection is the culprit. I am pretty sure I will be taking him in since his temp was still 101.6 tonight. Here are a couple pics of how miserable he is.....it is sooo sad :(

Not even daddy could make him happy.

I really hope he feels better soon. He is just not himself.....

Another Day at Home

Sorry it has been a while since I last posted...time just seems to escape me once in a while.

For most of the week we have just stayed home and done our regular, normal stuff. We did venture out to go grocery shopping. Trevor always likes that! He gets all kinds of attention and gets to see lots of new things. He always tries to turn around in the cart and get the things I have put in there.

Here are a few pics of him over the last couple of days.

He is quite a character. He loves smacking both sides of his head and hearing the sound that comes out of his mouth-what a weird child!?! And as you can see, he really enjoyed his dinner tonight of Vegetable Beef and Ritz crackers.

Tomorrow we are going to WalMart to get some formula and a few other things. This weekend we plan to take Trevor to the river or the park if it is nice out. If not, we are going to Old Navy to pick out a Halloween costume. It should be fun, and we will take pictures of whatever goes on.

Our Weekend

Saturday was a pretty routine day for us. We did some work outside, but Trevor was napping when we were working so I didn't get any pictures of him out there.

We decided to go to Cici's for dinner...we all had a great time. Trevor just ate a couple crackers because he had a big bottle right before we left. But he really enjoyed the crackers! He just loves going out to people watch.

After dinner we got a little treat from Coldstone Creamery and I shared with Trevor.

I wish I would have had a video camera.....he was going crazy for the mint ice cream with chocolate shavings. He was actually stomping his feet for more after slapping both hands up to the side of his head and yelling at me about how yummy it was!

Here he is after it was all gone...

I think he was trying to suck all the flavor out of the spoon! He sure did love the ice cream!

Sunday was a very untypical day for us. I signed Trevor up for the church daycare and he spent just over an hour in there during the service. The girls said that he was pretty good until the last 15 minutes or so....this is his usual nap time, so that is understandable. Then we came home for a good day of football!

Here he is watching the game, and wearing his football onesie of course....

He took a little break to smile for me!

When he was sitting with Daddy I attempted to take a picture of his top teeth...here is the best one I could get.
We had to leave Trevor in daycare for a second time to go to a small group meeting from 6-8pm. The girls said that he didn't like it when the other babies cried and that is the only time he really got fussy.
It was sad to leave him for the first time. They were really good at getting him into an activity to distract him from the fact that I really did leave when I said I was going.
Sorry this was so long. I will try to keep them shorter from now on.

He's a Dancing King

Today was a pretty long day....we didn't do anything outside the house. Trevor spent a good portion of the morning "reading" his favorite book.

Then we played Peek-A-Boo....

Things started to get a bit mundane in the early afternoon, so I decided to put on the XM music station and Trevor had a blast.

Here are some pics of him dancing and being delighted in the fact!

This kid loves to shake his booty! Now he dances when there are commercials on with good music.

Hopefully we will have some fun this weekend that you can all read about. Goodbye for now!

Link-a-Doos Fun!

Today was a pretty good day despite the fact that Trevor only took one short nap.

It surprises me everyday the way that he explores and discovers new things about everything, even the toys he always plays with. Lately he has been trying to see what fits inside what, and trying put everything together, especially his Link-a-Doo's.
Here are a few pics of him playing with them!

One of his favorite things to do with the Link-a-Doo's is to put the hole end up to his mouth and yell. It makes his voice sound funny and he really gets a kick out if it.

He decided to take a break from the toys to play with me and pose for the camera...

And yes, I am aware of the fact that his hair is a bit long. I am just afraid to cut it after the last incident. Let's just say that he looked like he cut it himself! And I am not sure if he would sit still for someone else to do it. Maybe when Grammy Cheryl is here, she will cut it for us!

Trevor was being a real ham when I was feeding him tonight, so here is a little taste of what dinner was like...

And in case you were wondering, his rash isn't getting any better with the prescription the doc gave us, so I think I am going to try some over the counter stuff.

A Long Yet Short Weekend

This weekend flew by even though we worked so hard. We moved our shed to the opposite side of the yard, which means that we poured a new cement pad. That just equals hard work.

Trevor was very cooperative and let me help Steve most of the day on Sunday. He was just really happy!

Here are some pics of him being quite delighted in himself after we all came inside.

One last smile for the camera...

UPDATE: Two of Trevor's top teeth have finally come through his gums! The third feels like it is soon to follow. Soon he will have a mouthful of chompers!
