A Couple of Days

It has been a couple of days since I last posted and nothing too exciting has been going on. We have just been hanging out and playing with new toys. I just wanted to share some pics with you guys.
"Will I be in trouble if I hit this with my new hammer?"
I decided to play a little dress-up with Trevor the other night. This is his old man look...
He really enjoys reading his books!

The zebra is so fun that he even likes riding with no pants!
Daddy and Trevor had some fun banging the blocks together. Trevor also enjoys throwing them at everyone and everything.
Trevor just had to get in the bin where he had thrown all his blocks. He was being quite silly this afternoon, as you can tell!
"What do you want from me? Can you please just stop taking pictures and let me play?"
Trevor has been having some cranky periods for the last couple of days. His top eye teeth have broken all the way through, and his bottom ones are working on poking up, and they are not fun!
Tomorrow is football day, and we are also going outside to take down our Christmas decorations.
Monday we might be taking a trip to the nature center, which should be fun, if we go.

A Merry Christmas Indeed

I must say that we had a great Christmas this year!
Our Christmas started on Christmas Eve with a trip to the lights at the river. Here is a pic of the Nativity Scene...

Then when we got home, Trevor got to open one present. We picked out one of the presents that Grammy Cheryl sent because Trevor had been poking at it. It ended up being a cool present....just right for a little man!Christmas morning began with stockings, then muffins and coffee (milk for Trevor) for breakfast. Then we read the Birth of Jesus from The Bible. Daddy took Trevor to change his clothes and when they got back, Trevor was pleasantly surprised by all the presents in the middle of the room..."Look at me Daddy, I have all these presents to open. Do you wanna help?"This was the big present from us this year. Trevor loved his jumperoo so much (until he outgrew it) that we figured he would love this Bounce and Spin Zebra equally....and he does!

It was such a nice day out that we ended up taking Trevor to the playground down the street to burn off some energy. We all had a great time, and Trevor really enjoyed all the slides...

There are tons more pics and I will try to get more up in a Smilebox tomorrow. We hope that everyone else had a great Christmas too, and our best wishes for a Happy New Year!

Feeling Better

I am glad to report that we had a poop that was not diarrhea! This is a good sign being that every one since last Friday had been. I think Trevor finally got rid of that bug that was making his tummy so upset. And in the last 2 days he has gained one half of a pound. I tell ya, now that he is feeling better, this kid can eat!
Here are just a few pics to share from the last 2 days. Grammy Cheryl sent a Christmas box for us that we got yesterday, and in it she included a couple of my old stuffed animals.
Scooby made quite the impression on Trevor. He likes to pack him around, kiss him and pet him. Here he is going in for a kiss...
It is hard for us to have any kind of food or drink without Trevor wanting some. He says "more" all the time, even if he hasn't already had some. I think it is too cute.
Here he is trying to steal something from Steve. Yes, that is slobber from some new bottom teeth that he is cutting (which are also making him really angry).

We got a package today from Grandma Jan. He always likes it when new boxes come in. He rubs them and climbs them. Trevor found a new place to play after we took all the presents out!
The doctor today said that Trevor's lungs are still clear and that the stuff that I hear when he coughs is just stuff that is finally coming up from all the yucky "bugs" that we have all had lately. He said that he should be sounding normal again within the week. It was nice to hear that I have not gotten him sick.

I am not sure what will transpire over the weekend, I am sure I will blog something, but in case I don't return by Tuesday, we want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I will be posting pics of our 2nd Christmas as a family as soon as I can on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Pics are Finally Here

SO I promised some pics of the last week, and I finally got them on the computer.
Here is Trevor the day that the puking stopped. You can tell that he still feels quite sick...
The following day was off and on. Here he is in a good moment. Looking good naked!

Trevor is really into hiding under home-made forts. Here is one that I built for him....
"What do you want?"..... Please excuse the mismatched pants. He had a poopy accident that we came to find was just one of many more to come.
"Am I going to get in trouble if I touch this tree?"
On Monday after an impromptu bath brought on by the diarrhea we have been dealing with.
Trevor went to the doctor today. She said as of now, he just has a stomach bug that is giving him the diarrhea and that he hasn't contracted the bronchitis. I have to take him back on Friday if his symptoms worsen. Today he was crankier than normal, but he is getting teeth on top of everything else.
Here's looking toward a better week for all of us (let's keep our fingers crossed and our prayers going).

A Long Time

I know that it has been forever since I posted-we are all still not feeling 100% yet. I have bronchitis (started antibiotics today), Steve said he kind of has a sore throat, and our poor little man has had explosive bouts of diarrhea since Friday. The kind that the only thing you can do, is strip him down and hose him off. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow to make sure he doesn't have an infection in his stomach and his nose is still really gross, too. And I am worried that he might be getting bronchitis too. We will see, as long as he feels better soon.
I have taken some pics in the last couple days. I will work on them tomorrow.
As for tonight, I am going to bed and hoping that this cough suppressant the doc prescribed works, so both Steve and I can get some sleep.

A Sick Bunch

Trevor thankfully didn't puke anymore, and yesterday felt a bit better, but his nose is really icky with some green mucus. I called the doc about it and she said to give it a couple days, that it is probably an after effect from the virus. So tomorrow if it isn't any better, I might call to see if he can go in to get checked out. I finally had some success getting him to eat a little bit, though I think he has lost a couple pounds. Maybe he will be back to normal by the weekend.
So, yesterday at about 6pm Steve said he didn't feel well and went and laid down for a bit. About 30 minutes later, the vomitting began. He went to the ER at about 9:30pm-he needed an IV. He got home about 12:30 am and I was in the bathroom, having some disgetive problems of my own. He came and asked if I was okay and I said, "Oh I am fine..." and then about 15 minutes later I was throwing up. We both feel considerably better tonight though. The ER doc gave Steve an Rx for an anti-nausea med that we both took this morning. Hopefully by tomorrow we will both feel much better. I also went to the chiropractor this afternoon. My left hip was messed up, making my left leg's length 1/4 of an inch different from my right (which resulted in me walking funny). He got it back into place but did say that it may be necessary to return in a while. Hopefully this agonizing pain will be gone soon (he said it would take a few days for my muscles to re-adjust).
I am off to bed to get some much needed rest.
We hope that everyone else is doing good!

Yesterday's Pics....

I have a spare minute and just wanted to put the pics from yesterday up. But first an update....Trevor slept pretty well, but when I got him out of bed this morning, he had puked a little (no food, just stomach acid). So I fed him some milk and cheerios and he did just fine with them. I thought we were in the clear, other than him being tired. I gave him a bath and let him sit with me as much as he wanted. Steve came home at noon and Trevor was still good. He napped then when he woke up I gave him some milk. About 30-45 minutes later, he threw up all over me. I swear that it could have filled an entire big cereal bowl. So I called the doctor and told them he needed to be seen. They gave him a suppository that was supposed to calm his belly a little and said that I can not feed him any solid foods (including milk) for the rest of the night. They also said that if he didn't wet a diaper in 6 hours (by 10pm) that we would need to take him to the ER. Needless to say, Trevor is a bit cranky and he is not big into drinking his liquids. He is getting dehydrated, but he did pee once. I am hoping for at least once more before bedtime, if there will be a bedtime tonight. If he pukes or doesn't pee, I will be taking him into the ER in the morning.
Here are the pics....

Chilling out after a long morning running errands...

Playing with the new ball he got at WalMart...

Trying out his new slippers....They are a little big!

30 minutes before barfing all over Daddy.....

Here is a pic from today. You can see how tired and miserable he is. Poor baby....

Hopefully this is a 24 hour bug and Trevor will be better by tomorrow. I know that he will definitely be hungry. I feel so bad for not being able to give him food.

Vomit Volcano

This will just be a quick note:
I took some cute pics of Trevor today, but won't get them up until tomorrow. We ate spaghetti for dinner at 6pm and Trevor gobbled it up and was fine and quite playful all night. When Steve was getting him ready for bed at 9pm, Trevor puked all over him. Then seemed fine, but 5 minutes later, threw up again. And then 10 minutes later, he puked again, and kept heaving and puking a little bit at a time. He didn't have a fever of any kind and seemed just fine otherwise. I called the doc just to be on the safe side. When he called me back, he said it was probably just the food not agreeing with him (not digesting well, I guess) and to call back if there was more throwing up. Trevor fell asleep right before the doctor called me back, and he slept through us putting his jammies on. I hope it was just the spaghetti and nothing else. Hopefully Trevor will get a good night's sleep and be fine.

A Fun Saturday

Today it was soooo nice out! Who would have guessed that we would have an 80 degree day in December. We decided to take Trevor out to the lake since there is lots of room to run and play.
Here is a Smilebox of our day (plus a couple pics from yesterday)....

A Few Bumps Along the Way

The last couple of days have been up and down. Trevor cut a new top tooth, and there is one more trying to get through on the bottom. That will make 14 teeth!! Plus, this might be too much info, but he hadn't pooped in a few days and I think he was getting pretty uncomfortable, but finally he went tonight and his mood seemed to change quite quickly.
Here he is sharing my dinner last night...

This morning Trevor was in pretty good spirits. He was running and jabbering and playing right up until we went to the store. I wasn't sure that I could get him to calm down so we could get ready to go. You can tell how excited he was....When we got back from the store, we had some quieter calmer playtime to unwind and get ready for a nap. Trevor enjoys my phone because it slides and lights up red. It is sort of a challenge for him to get it open, but he likes it. Here he is saluting, "Toddler Power"....at least that is how I interpreted it!The classic "I have a tooth coming in" hand-in-mouth shot...Plus it is a good pic of his cute shirt!Just one of his many faces that he is really into making these days. He will do just about anything to get the slightest chuckle out of either of us. Look at all those teeth!!Trevor often just randomly hops onto his lion with no intention of going anywhere. I think he likes that he has a place of his own to sit. But in this picture, I think he wanted to ram the Christmas tree (even though he doesn't go forward on the lion)...As you can see, I got all the Christmas present wrapped today while Trevor was sleeping. The really big one wouldn't fit, so it is on the fireplace hearth. I am not sure if they are going to stay under there, though I only had to tell Trevor "no touching" once today after he noticed them.
We will be doing pictures by the end of the week so I can get cards out next week.
Hopefully Trevor behaves for the pictures!

An Eventful Day

I thought we were going to have a bad day after all the mishaps this morning. First he fell in the foyer on the tile and ended up with a bump on the back of his head. Then shortly after, he hit his face on a toy, resulting in a welt.

But things turned around for us and he was playing peek-a-boo with me through the handle on his kitchen.
When Daddy got home is when all hell broke loose in this house.
That is right. We finally decided to give Trevor a haircut. Now, I must say, I was promised that it would not be as short as it ended up. I was a bit sad when I saw how short it is. And as you can see, Trevor hated every minute of the process...
The last thing I wanted to do was make him even more mad by putting him in the tub, so here he is getting a shower. That caught his attention a bit and made him stop crying (until the water started running down his face)...
Daddy loves Trevor's new haircut. Here they are checking him out after his shower.... This is the pile of hair that I managed to collect for the picture. There was still some on the floor. That is quite a bit of hair to come off of a little boy's head.
Here are a couple pics of Trevor playing this evening ao you can get a better idea of what he looks like now(after he was finally done throwing about an hour's worth of a tantrum, that I chalk up to be from his new teeth that are coming in)...
I have to admit that right before I put Trevor in bed, my heart broke over his missing hair.
For months, Trevor has twirled his hair in his fingers while I give him his bedtime bottle (which I am still trying to figure out how to break). I was watching him as he started to drift off, and he put his hand up for some hair....and there was none. My heart broke as he opened his eyes and looked at me, seeming to be very confused. So, I took his hand and just rubbed it on his head and said, "Honey, I am sorry, but your hair is gone."
*Sigh*....I do want it grow back out a bit. I did love his hair, but I guess it is time to be a big boy, and big boy's shouldn't have long hair...so Steve says.

A Fun Weekend

Trevor and I went grocery shopping on Friday and we decided to venture out from the norm-we got him Fruity Cheerios instead of regular.

Don't let this face fool you...He was really enjoying them. This is the face of "the food attack"....
We already got a fake tree and had it put up, but we took a drive to the tree tents on Saturday afternoon to see what they had. All super expensive trees, no wreaths. Although, it was a nice reminder of home when we walked up and smelled the pine. Here is Trevor climbing a tree right outside the tents.
Sunday lunch at Cici's has kind of turned into a tradition. That is usually the only day that we eat out and Trevor always seems to enjoy himself. This time I had the camera in my purse... I got some great super-washable Crayola markers the other day and we finally put them to the test today. Trevor jumped right in and knew exactly what to do. He had a great time coloring. (He also used his Ta-Doodles for part of the time.)I guess he decided the paint was so pretty that it looked tasty and he had to try it (don't worry, it is non-toxic)....
So he ended up with bright red "lipstick" and then decided he wanted a little color all over...

This was the end result after all the coloring. He ended up coloring some of his hair all the way to the very top of his scalp! But he had a really fun time, so I was fine with it.

All of the marker came off quickly and VERY easily with a baby wipe. Later on, Trevor decided to play in his toybox. Here is the disaster that took place in the living room...

SO, we have been comtemplating giving Trevor his first "REAL" haircut. I have cut his bangs before, but the rest of it has been untouched. I think that maybe that will be coming in the next few days. What do you think? Should he just get a trim, or should we get it cut short?
